The humans leave the dogs alone on the beach, generally assuming they're there with another family and like in the city, it's not uncommon to see a large dog that kinda sorta looked like a wolf, but no, it had to have been a shepherd or sled dog, right? The water is much calmer here than by the cliffs and some of the pack and strays enjoy the salty waves and the feel of sand under their paws.

The dunes are the large sandy bit you have to get through to get to the calm part of the beach, north of the cliffs and to the east of the village. It's like a desert in an of itself, but luckily it only extends for a couple acres. This place offers no prey of any kind and if only nice to come to at night, when you can feel the cool sea breeze coming in over the dunes.

Located in between the forest, the farmer's fields and the beach, this large expanse of short grass and flowers is a good place to try and catch a rabbit if you're quick enough. During the fall the humans bring their dogs and guns here and shoot them right out of the sky. It's amazing to watch, but boy does it sure hurt your ears like nothing ever had before. It always smells good here, though and is a favorite for the pups to come to during the spring.

As the mountains of the Southern Forest drop off at the coast, they form a line of jagged cliffs that weep down into the deep water below. There are some places to climb down, but it is dangerous. Best to steer clear of this area, laddie, for it's nothing but trouble.
