A small spring of fresh water comes up cold and fresh from the earth in this pool of water located at the bottom of the mountains. It's a prime spot for a refreshing drink for swim during the summer, only a minute or two away from the pack's dens. The water flows in a large steady stream into the rest of the forest and provides nutrients to all the tall trees of the forest.

Many years ago, generations before any of the wolves still alive today there was a horrendous storm that ripped several trees up, roots and all. The elders sometimes tell the pups about how it roared like a bear and twirled about like a strike from the stars itself, ripping up everything in sight. Now the large trees lay on their sides, in the center of the forest, going almost unnoticed by the pack in the large forest, but the pups enjoy playing games of hide and seek and running through the tunnels of the smaller hollowed out tress and their large roots.

Mostly all the water in the forest flows from the large spring by the mountains. Some of the streams are just trickles of water that flow to a stop in the forest, while others carve out rivers that feed water all around the forest. During the rainy season these rivers and streams can be dangerous for small dogs or pups because they move more quickly and could drown an unsuspecting canine.

Between the forest to the south and the Farm to the north there is a strip of barren, short-cut meadow. Sometimes humans will come through to cut it down if it grows to much, and horses will often be ridden through here. Dotted along in the middle of the clearing are apple trees, which the humans are known to come and pick.
