It had been the first rise of rebuttal of his order or rank since their arrival to the new territory but when they continued on after he closed this matter of business, he stared coolly at Timber and Libby, who seemed to be instigating it. Part of him understood. They had lost the most, their family torn straight down the center and one of their pups threatened, and now they had Taler and Vitani, so they felt more vulnerable than most, but there was a time and place for concerns and a way to act and this, this was not one of them.
As Libby approached him and demanded they be banned, he flicked his ears back and let his fur raise, making him appear larger in size, but did not reveal his fangs, hoping the silent threat was enough. Then like a bomb going off, Sable snapped at Timber's words and for one split second Gabe didn't know who he was going to have to pull his mother off of. Timber or Iris, but thankfully the Bolverk was more stunned by the attack than anything and simply flopped to the ground in submission. Timber would have likely won in a fight but he had too much respect for the former Rhea. She still held the air of the Queen of the pack and until Gabe had a Rhea, she'd still be it to all of them.
"I said enough!" Gabe howled loudly, his words echoing loudly around the cave. He turned to study Libby, Timber and then the rest of the nay-sayers.
"Well, if you want to come up and fight her for it, go ahead but I learned that lesson as a young pup." He turned and deliberately ignored the pack and shot Luke a look that gestured to Iris. The Ranger nodded and Gabe addressed Dila next, "Timber will be having some training missions for the squires in the morning so you can either share a den with Iris or join one of the squire dens."
