As his paws sunk into the sand, Bonsai glared up at the cliffs. He was at where the beach ended, the sand meeting sharp rocks that twisted, mostly smooth from the constant bashing of the sea, but jagged from where the caves rose and fell along the cliff side. When he hadn't been able to catch a doe that morning (or the night before, and the night before that), he'd resorted to prying the shellfish from the ocean rocks and eating them. It was disgusting, and he didn't he like the taste, but he had to survive, and he liked to keep himself busy doing something, and that meant he needed energy. If he didn't the memories would begin to catch up to him and he'd rather not deal with that just yet.
He couldn't believe the betrayal of his pack. Not only did they side with his horrid sister, like they always did because she was so perfect that it bloody well made him sick, but they had abandoned him! Why couldn't they trust him, love him like they did her? Siblings got in fights all the time and look, Sable can't even defend herself properly, he'd won, after all, and they'd dragged him off and then exiled him over it! Since when did they exile wolves for disputes!? It disgusted him. Instead of in his warm den, he was out here, hungry and lonely. Part of him was completely torn though. He was in disbelief. He always knew his sister was working against him but it still hurt to have it confirmed. She was his sister! His littermate! How could she do that to him!? All he'd ever done was try to be a good brother, to be as good as her, and his family had ignored him. He'd never be good enough for her and his parents. This utter desperation and sadness, this sense of defeat just fed the anger, the hatred.
Tilting his head to look at the cliffs once more a deep growl came from his chest. He would show them! He would show all of them! He'd watch and wait for them to grow weak from their own stupidity and then one day he'd have his revenge against the pack, and the family, who had abandoned him so easily. He raised his head and let out a vicious yowl, letting his anger and excess energy pour out.

History:
- Born along with Sable to Leshia and Sanjit 96 moons ago, the second born. Naturally friendly at first, he and his sister spent many a day romping with each other under their mother's watchful eye.
- Sadly, it all began to change when both pups were five moons old- when Sable first proved her litheness and agility by catching a mouse. Bonsai decided he wanted to try also, but he unfortunately was unable to catch anything. Despite his mother's condolences, the first seed of jealously was planted. This intensified when they turned eight moons and they were required to find their own mentor to teach them. Sable again progressed ahead of her brother when she successfully found a wolf to train her, while he struggled to do the same. He watched with angry eyes as she trained while he was left behind.
- He did eventually find a mentor, who agreed to take him under his tutelage and teach him what he needed to know to be a Soldier. Bonsai trained frantically to try to catch up to his sister but he was thwarted by his mentor, who often told him to relax, that this was no race; but his words fell on deaf ears. The intensity of the boy's desperation worried his mentor, who deliberately slowed down the training.
- This, of course, infuriated Bonsai, who got it in his head that somehow, for some reason, Sable was sabotaging him. He confronted her, demanding that she tell him why she hated him. She denied it... furious, Bonsai attacked her. He hurt her badly, gashing her right hind leg nearly down to the bone. Adults were drawn by the noise and pulled Bonsai off his sister; that night, he was exiled from the pack.
- Now he wanders as a rogue, still full of hatred for the wrongs done him at his sister's paws. He witnessed her rise to the rank of Rhea, and thus his desire for revenge has only deepened. In his time as a wolf he became a bit of a lady killer, but only allowed on she-wolf into his life. They were close, and cared for each other, but Bonsai is no the type to fall in love. They had one litter of five pups when Bonsai was 46 moons old (the pups are now 50 moons old). There were three girls and two boys (One of the girls is named Isali and one of the boys is named Cael, the other three are unnamed). Unfortunately in a spat with another rogue the youngest daughter was killed and angry at him his mate took their remaining pups and left.
- Isali instead chose to go with her father and when she was oldest to survive on her own took her own path.
- At 56 moons Bonsai seduced a she-wolf from the pack that, unbeknownst to Sai, resulted in a single cub, Linden, who has grown into the Romulus of the pack.
