Looking In The Mirror
Eye Color: Amber
Pelt: Tricolor (brown, black and white)
Body Type: Tall and broad, packed with muscle.
Identifying Features: Looks like an average Bernese Mountain dog except for an almost unnoticeable set of scars on his muzzle from his first encounter with the pack.
Appearance: Luke is a purebred Bernese Mountain dog, but was sold to a nice quiet family as a pup. He's broad and stocky, standing taller than a normal dog of his breed, rivaling another male wolf's own height. He's covered in heavy muscle and isn't too bad slow on his paws, despite his weight. He's mostly black with white and brown face, belly, chest and leg markings. His paws are large, teeth sharp and he's quite handsome, even to the female wolves of the pack.

Under the Microscope
Likes: Play wrestling with the younger dogs, teaching the squires how to be a proper guard, living with the pack, swimming, climbing the mountainous terrain, flirting with the young she-wolves, guarding the Rhea as he takes great pride in his job.
Dislikes: Jabs at his inferiority (due to not being a wolf), Linden (the Romulus), talking about his past, talking about humans, hunters, rain, hitchhikers and brambles (they're always getting caught in his thick coat).
Strengths: Strong, loyal, stubborn, good with pups, doesn't give his trust out blindly
Weaknesses: Bipolar (not extreme but he can switch moods split second, not the stereotypical kind, more like between depression and feeling dragged to being excitable and full of energy), prideful, stubborn, bad at expressing himself, overly cautious until he knows someone better
Personality: When Luke was a puppy, he was a bundle of energy and played with his human pups all the time. He was only one year old when his humans died and he became a stray and learned to be more cautious with who he trusted and to trust only a few people. He tries to relax and have fun or act normal but sometimes he has strong mood swings and becomes lethargic, and when this happens he pushes through it and does his work all the same, but other times he's hyperactive and excitable and has so much energy that he'll offer to train squires and pupsit for Giselle or run errands. He doesn't like the wolves that don't except the strays and has an open dislike for Linden, the Pack's Romulus, who has also expressed his extreme dislike of the "mongrels". When Sable offered him the position of East, her personal guard, Luke jumped at the chance and has been eternally loyal to Bobby and his family ever since. Giselle and Gabe are very nice to them and he would protect them with his life, but he doesn't know how to feel about Iris, since she seems to dislike him.

Background Check:
History: Adopted by a family at a young age and raised alongside the human's pups, he was very protective of them. When he was out on a walk with the father human the house caught on fire and the mother and pups died. The father killed himself and Luke, not ever wanting to find a human family to replace his first one he'd loved so much, traveled south into the forest. He lived in a small pack of strays for awhile before leaving them to follow some of the group towards a pack of wolves he'd heard tell of.
Upon entering the territory he and the strays were attacked by a small group of soldiers that had been patrolling. Luke helped lead the stronger dogs in a defense against themselves until the Alpha, Bobby, showed up to end the fighting. No one have been killed, but one of two of the smaller strays had been severely injured, and Luke had received a deep blow to his muzzle and was bleeding profusely. Bobby summoned a wise wolf who patched all the strays and wolves up and then welcomed the strays to a trial stay in the pack. The strays adapted quickly and were welcomed later on to join the pack. Luke was going to be placed as a soldier at first, but was placed as a guard under Gabe's suggestion at the last minute and when the previous East retired to become an elder, Sable offered the position to Luke, who happily took it. While not certain why the Rhea picked him a opposed to any of the other wolves who had been training for longer, he had his own speculations. Perhaps the Alpha female wanted to show that she trusted the strays or perhaps she really did trust him more than the other candidates. If the former was true, then he feared for the loyalties of the pack.
Family: Doesn't know his birth family.

The growls had filled the air, and the strays moved closer to each other. Most of them were large, not as large as Luke (or a wolf), but large enough not to get ripped to shreds. The smaller ones in the group were behind their larger companions, staring wide eyed at the group of wolves who had begun to approach them. Luke stood his ground, standing at the front of the group with two of the other big and strong dogs of their party.
"We wish to speak to the Alpha of your pack." The golden retriever beside Luke said in his most diplomatic voice possible. Luke resisted the urge to growl back and held he gaze of the wolves.
The lead wolf shook his head, sneering at them, his fur spiked up with evident agitation, "You have no right to demand something like that from us. You invade our lands and then act as if you have rights here?"
"We wish no quarrel with you," The golden retriever continued on in an even and brave tone, "We just wish to speak to your Alpha. If you deny us the request, we will leave." Pretty words from a handsome dog, but the wolves were not swayed. Luke lowered his head, rolling his shoulders as he prepared himself to protect his new friends he'd made while travelling.
There was no more talk, the wolf didn't bother to respond, instead snapping forward and trying to grasp the retriever's collar between his teeth. Or maybe he had been going for the blond dog's neck, Luke didn't care. He sprang, bulldozing into the wolf and sending him sprawling. He wheeled around, protecting the jack russel from the jaws of another wolf and growled and snapped his teeth into the shoulder as he felt a blow to one of his hind quarters.
The fight seemed to last forever and in an instant all at once. One of the little dogs howled in pain as one of the wolves grasped them by the scruff of their neck and shook them roughly. Luke blinked and turned, charged to save the jack russel, barreling through some more wolves who were surrounding another dog in his path. He snarled and headbutted the wolf holding onto the russel terrier, barking loudly and snarling. The brown wolf turned and raked his claws across Luke's face. He was shocked as red covered his vision, but after blinking a few times he could see once more and didn't notice the pain searing across his nose and muzzle, snarling and taking the wolf down in a sprawling roll.
The wolf turned, already on his feet again and Luke aimed for the neck, ready to take his opponent down, but a loud commanding howl echoed through the trees and all the wolves and dogs alike froze at it. Not too far away another small group of wolves appeared and from how they walked they could tell who the Alpha was.
This could be very good, or very bad.
