Personality Traits:
- Trouble-maker: Curiosity killed the cat, they say, and this might prove true for Stark in the end. Born with a desire to know how things work, he often gets in over his head and usually ends up breaking something. Not that that's bad, and he will always watch as his humans put it back together, if possible, and if not, will watch in dismay as they throw it away.
- Smooth talker: This cat will get into trouble, but with his silver tongue will attempt to talk his way out of possible harm. This works too on the queens; give him half a chance and he'll bury you in his charm and sweet words. There's no point in resisting. He always gets what he wants, in the end. *wink, wink*
- Pushy: If others try to refuse him, well, that just won't do. Stark will push back, asserting himself firmly. You won't find it easy to walk all over this cat. He has claws and a sharp tongue and will use both to scratch as hard as he needs too.
- Clever: Here is a cat of quick mind and sharp wit. If slick words won't help, he'll resort to confusing his adversary with big words and try to turn the tables on them and befuddle them in the hopes that it'll give him a chance to escape.
- Packrat: Something shiny? It's Stark's. No, no, it's definitely his. He lost it, you see, and he's just tickled that you found it for him again. Much thanks, he'll take that back to his den now. Your reward? The utter joy you ought to feel for finding his treasure again. And his thanks, which counts for a lot. Obviously.
History:
- Stark was born of a planned breeding; two American Shorthairs producing a litter of little champions. Four kittens were born, all perfect specimens of their breed, almost certainly guaranteed to bring in more medals, cash prizes, and fame for their owners. And as the kits grew, their bodies continued to grow ever more shapely, proving their worth as show cats and future champions.
- And as they grew, their personalities became more pronounced. Stark was by far the most energetic, the most troublesome, always getting into what he shouldn't. He was the most feisty, resisting being held and happy to be doing what he wanted to do. His owners didn't think much of it. He was young, they consoled themselves. He would grow and mature and so, in time, would be perfect.
- But it wasn't to be. Stark ruined these plans on a daring attempt to examine a light while perched on a high rail. He slipped, fell, and landed badly, resulting in a broken leg. A trip to the vet, and he came home sporting a neon green cast. It was a fascinating thing, but he was annoyed by the way it hampered his movement and kept him on solid ground.
- When his mother was scheduled for a show, the kittens went along too. They were now old enough to go to their own homes, and there was no shortage of people who requested a kitten. Stark and his two sisters were handed off to other people, and carried off to begin their new lives... yeah, right. Stark had escaped his new owners within an hour. Even with his bright green cast, he slipped away from them, and right out the front door, before any sort of alarm could be raised.
- From there, a narrow escape from a car, a dog that chased him, and numerous people who lunged at him in attempts to pick him up. He evaded them all, and found himself standing over a bowl of water. He was thirsty, so he drank. A scout around the place revealed a sort of bedding in a box. It was familiar, and so he entered and lay down, soon enough falling asleep. In the following days, he grew used to the garage, and warmed up to the people who worked there. He had been born around humans, after all, and why shouldn't he remain with humans? As of yet, the cast has not been removed.
