Looking In The Mirror
Eye Color: Blue & brown
Pelt: Black & white
Body Type: Average height, lean and fluffy, built for speed.
Identifying Features: Speckles of black in her fur and her bi-colored eyes.
Appearance: Jenna, like the rest of her family, all have the stereotypical look of the border collie. Black and white, fluffy, and bouncy and light on their feet. She also has speckles of black where the white merges with black and while her cousins think these "freckles" look odd and dislike their own, so thinks they make her look beautiful. As you sometimes find in dogs, Jenna has two different eye colors, her right eyes is a chocolate brown and her left is icy blue. Her ears are often perked with curiosity and sort of just stay that way unless they stand to their fullest (usually if she thinks she hears a predator in the fields) or are flat back with anger.

Under the Microscope
Likes: Farming, herding, going to the village, playing at the park, following her humans as they ride horses, swimming.
Dislikes: Dislikes listening to her cousins complain, when the cats in the barn think her tail is a toy, predators who think they can go after the livestock, fleas and going to the vet.
Strengths: Can herd the sheep faster than you can say "Aye aye, captain!" Confident in her self, logical, strong swimmer, knows a lot about humans
Weaknesses: Too logical sometimes (over analyzes or over thinks things), trusts human too much, knows little of life beyond the farm and the village, doesn't give her heart up easily as she already had it broken by one of the dogs in the village once.
Personality: Born into a single litter, Jenna never lacked companionship for her large family and is very family oriented as a result. While all of them have the farm dog mentalities, some of her girl cousins are squeamish and hang close to the farmer's daughters instead of riding on the tractor. Jenna loves to help on the farm, whether it be sitting in the fields, watching the goats and sheep or helping the farmer and his sons haul hay. But she isn't all work, she walks over to the village all the time and knows many of the strays and pets that live there. The humans welcome the Farmer's sheepdogs lovingly because they're always coming into town and as a result never really learned to fear them. She's a confident young dog and prides herself on her strengths and promises to work on her weaknesses. She is a little hesitant with offering her heart to anyone because she once fell in love with one of the dogs in the village and while he claimed to love her still took a mate behind her back. Some good came out of it though, when Jenna's dad found out he gave the mutt a permanent limp. While she generally seems calm cool and collected and fun, she's often over analyzing things in her head and worries herself over small things.

History:
- Jenna was born a single pup to her parents, Nicky and Jade, but she always had the company of her cousins and never lacked for affection from her family. Her life as a puppy passed uneventfully and she learned how to work as a farm dog alongside her cousins by watching her family do their jobs. She grew closest to one of the farmer's daughter, Claire, and is used to sleeping on her bed with her.
- After she started working on the farm Jenna found she loved it. She loved helping take care of the sheep and learned to communicate with them in what her family called the Common Language from a young age. The sheep like her and her family because they do not nip at them and Jenna enjoys following Claire and her siblings when they ride the horses through the meadows to the east.
- When she was young some of the livestock started to go missing and got to join her family on stakeouts with the farmer and his sons as they tried to catch the "mangy beast" (as the farmer called him) who was killing the sheep. She witnessed first hand what humans could do to canines if they needed or wanted to, but Jenna still puts all her faith in her entire family, since she's long grown to think of her humans and the livestock as her family as well.
- Several moons ago, Jenna fell in love with a handsome shepherd dog that lived with his humans in the village and the two began to see each other every day, talking about being together. Jenna entertain the idea that he might come live on the farm with her and she would have his pups, but she found out from one of her cousins that he'd mated the cocker spaniel next door to him. With Jenna's heart broken, her father, Nicky, found the shepherd and gave him a piece of his mind. Good thing none of the humans had found the two dogs fighting, and no one knows what Nicky di to the other dog, but every time her cousins see him in the Village, they say he still has a limp.
- She's noticed that one of the strays have started going missing from the village, but others tell her that they've gone to live with a wolf pack in the south, on the other side of the mountains. She misses her friends but is now growing more curious of the lands beyond the farm and the village, though she'd never leave her home for another she'd still like to see it all one day. Imagine, standing on one of those mountains. You could probably see for miles. A few moons ago her mother and father tried one more time for a full litter and had three little boys.

The large black cat settled in the nest beside his kits and cleared his throat. After all, the queens knew by now none of Briarbreeze’s kits would go to sleep without one of their father’s stories.
"Once upon a time a young tom met a pretty she-cat and she was the most beautiful cat he’d ever seen. She was so smart that she knew how to talk to all the animals in the forest, and she was probably smart enough to talk to the twolegs."
"Wow!" The kits exclaimed. “Really, Daddy?"
“Yes, dear," He smiled and quieted them again so he could continue. “But she was so smart that she hid it, so she wouldn’t intimidate anyone. She was so strong and brave though, she became the deputy, and saved many lives. Well the tom grew up too, and he had kits and loved them."
"That sounds like us!"
"Yes, doesn’t it? Well, the she-cat was sad, because no one loved her. They thought she was pretty, but they didn’t love her for her brains and her good soul, just her pretty coat. Everyone, except the tom who grew up loving her."
"Why didn’t he tell her, dad?" One of the kits interrupted again.
“I’m getting to that part, sweetie. Well, so one night she was out in the swamp all on her own, crying, because she didn’t realize that there was another cat that loved her. He thought she was in love with someone else. Someone who had died moons before. And when the tom saw her crying, his heart her so much for her that he fell over and cried as well."
Briarbreeze paused, his voice starting to shake with emotion, and then continued, “when he had the strength, he went to her and he said, ‘You, you my deputy, you are so smart and kind and wonderful and I love you for what’s on the inside because you aren’t perfect. I love you for all your faults. You have always been beautiful and even if you lost all your fur, you would be the most beautifull cat in the world.’"
“Awww, that’s so romantic!" One of the kits said, while another asked, “So what happened then, Dad?"
"Well, so the she-cat finally realized that there was a tom who loved her and knew her better than she even knew herself, and they became mates and had kits together. And all of the tom’s kits loved each other and they were just one big happy family."
One of the kits realized maybe the story wasn’t just made up and looked up at Briarbreeze. “Dad… if you have more kits, we’ll love them!"
"Yeah, we promise!" The others agreed.
"That’s great kits, but I don’t think anyone is gonna have kits with me any time soon." The older tom said.
He didn’t realize outside the queens’ den Foxflight was sitting and listening to his story with tears in her eyes.
