{Riverclan}
Identity Crisis
Full Name: Silverfang
Nick Names: N/A
Age: 27 Moons
Sex: Female
Breed: Maine Coon
Alliance: Riverclan
Position: Deputy
Sexuality: Heterosexual
Looking In The Mirror
Eye Color: Dark green
Pelt: Silver Tabby
Body Type: Slender with a long tail and ears that never quite filled out.
Identifying Features: A scar running along her tail, making a strip where no fur grows along the side of it.
Appearance:
Standing rather average for a she-cat, it is her personality that often makes her easily overlooked, as Silverfang is quiet and will not make a presence of herself unless she has a reason to do so, preferring the advantages of anonymity. When she is holding her position, she walks with her tail and head up, purposely and the stark difference from her normal posture makes for a significant change. Likened to a Maine Coon, Silverfangs pelt is that of a silver tabby and her dark green eyes blend in well with the lush forest.
Her tail is long, but noticeable by the strip along it's side that is entirely hairless and scarred from a brush with lightning as an apprentice. One thing that you may notice about her is that when it is raining, the deputy has a tendency to keep her tail curled up beneath her, and if swimming, she holds it high above her.

- Noticing details, slips of tongue and little movements
Weaknesses:
- Afraid of lightning
- Loud, sudden noises
- Often underestimated
- Her balance isn't actually affected directly by her tail, but almost a mental affect is that the more she thinks about it, she has a tendency to be clumsy
- When hunting and patrolling with others, she can get a little overwhelmed with conversation and movement and everything all at once.
- Private and doesn't share personal details quickly
- While also a strength, being accustomed to working alone can attribute to her dislike of being around others as she avoids it and that leads to being desensitized to it.
Personality:
Silverfang isn't someone that immediately stands out as leadership material. At least, she didn't for a long while. The she-cat was always intelligent, and her mentor worked hard to help her sharpen her natural quick mind and use it to catch small details, learning to be quick and efficient from a young age. Never has she been particularly vocal or loud, disliking meaningless conversation and much preferring the more quiet interaction of observation and she often finds herself enjoying the sharing of tongues, grooming one another and occasionally offering some words but she's known for steering clear of the talkative cats at that time of day.
Even with her quiet nature, Silverfang can speak up when necessary, and when she does it is with clear and concise orders, geared toward getting something done effectively and calmly, very rarely being taken off guard and shaken up, being naturally level minded. Of course everyone had their moments and hers tend to be when theres lightning. Rain on it's own will tend to leave her a little more snappy than usual, and many will quickly learn that as the sun is hidden by the clouds, so is her patience. Once the thunder and lightning rolls about, she becomes nervous and finicky, often times trying to find and excuse to be along and escape to her den. As this is not always possible, she will try and take deep breaths and work through it. Just know that the reason her tail is between her legs is because getting her tail wet brings back the bad memory of time she got electrocuted by lightning through the liquid. Despite being a Riverclan cat, Silverfang, while being a strong swimmer, will similarly often try to swim with her tail out of the water though sometimes it is unavoidable. She just dries out her tail as quick as possible.

History:
Silverfang was born 27 moons ago to an older previous deputy and a she-cat, named Russetstripe and Skystream. For the first few moons of her life as Silverkit, everything went fairly smoothly. Born with three siblings, Marshkit, Pebblekit and Reedkit it was not entirely unexpected that the runt of the little, Pebblekit, passed within the first week and while it was difficult for the parents, the loss of a kit is not a new occurrence and they got along alright. Soon the litter hit their six moon and it was time to be apprenticed, and the excited siblings were dubbed Marshpaw, Reedpaw and Silverpaw. Her own mentor was an older tom, but the two got along quite nicely, neither being particularly chatty.
The exploration of the territory began their lessons, and it wasn't long until she'd poked her head into ever nook and cranny of the stone badger sett and the boathouse, enjoying the peace and quiet. Her mentor taught her to hunt, and with the relatively calm apprentice they progressed quickly, her learning to keep a sharp eye and occasionally she'd be brought together with her siblings, where the young she-cat often found herself taking charge and calming down her two more excitable siblings to actually get work done. When she was eight moons, her father stepped down from his deputy position to join the ranks of the elders, and her mother was due to follow in only a few more moons, both having been old to begin with upon having their first and only litter. It was at ten moons that Silverpaw caught her first bit of bad luck.
A thunderstorm, and generally that would mean that the apprentices would hang back and do some battle training instead of wandering off, but Silverpaw and her siblings had already been out in the territory when it began and saw no need to turn back. They were Riverclan, water, whether it came from the ground or the sky, wasn't an issue. Then came the lighting and thunder and even as the level headed she-cat she was, any apprentice was going to get a little nervous, and she went to take refuge in the old boathouse.
Inside water was pooling from the hard down-pour and old, unpatched roof. Her tail wandered into a puddle, no big deal. Lightning struck the water, hitting her tail and searing off the fur, jolting up the Apprentice's body. Silverpaw jerked once and passed out from the crackling pain and how her body locked up. When she awoke again, the apprentice was in the medicine den with her mother not far away, mentor sitting by her side and news that her siblings had been herded out by Russettstripe not long ago to return to training, having been out for the rest of the day and through the night. The effects of the electrocution were that it took her about a quarter moon to regain full mobility, and her balance was never quite the same, with a strip on her tail forever being hairless.
Thankfully, despite the mishap Silverpaw was quickly back on her feet and even if she never liked to go into the boathouse again and her fur stood on end whenever there was a lightning storm, she was determined to prove that she could graduate with her siblings. It was this burst of ferocity from the previous relatively quiet and unassuming apprentice that gave her the name Silverfang when she received her warrior name along with her siblings at 12 moons.
Her warrior life seems to have gone by in a blur of keeping her siblings from getting in over their heads and gaining respect in her quiet, decisive and precise manner. By the time she was 18 moons, Silverfang was known for being picked to both lead patrols and choose who would be in it, as she could pick just the right members to keep people from getting side tracked. When the time came that Sorchtail, their previous deputy that she had been relatively friendly with due to her increasing work in the clan and work aptitude even as she was 16 moons at the time, she was a little wary of the replacement, Ivy---, but quickly warmed up to the she-cat seeing that she knew what she was doing and was a good fit and being sure to offer up her skills whenever appropriate.
Eleven moons later, their loved leader Rainstar lost his ninth life and through the sad night, and the transition of Ivy--- to Ivystar, Silverfang never expected to be called upon to be deputy. It was an honor that she never consciously worked toward, however she accepted graciously and has since slipped into the role, even if the attention attributed to it is a little more than she was used to in her almost more behind-the-scene role of before, but she's coming to get used to it.

The rain was beating down on the hard wood of the ceiling, leaking down through the crevices and seeping to the floor. Silverpaw shivered in the cold, fluffing out her fur and turning to her siblings, silently bobbing her head to signal them in, her tail low and out to stabilize herself against the slippery hard floors. Soft padding of her paws and claws extended for traction, she hurried through the vast and open space until she was at a wall, glad to have something solid to her side, even if it was wetter here as the ground tilted ever so slightly. She was looking toward Reedpaw, who huddled with Marshpaw and the two were pressed together, hustling toward her.
Her tail was lowering toward the ground as her body began to contract for warmth, pulling closer. The silver fur was only brushing a puddle before the hair was caught and quickly being dragged toward the puddle by it's weight, but Silverpaw hardly noticed the small annoyance. A crackle of lightning and the cabin light up like the the dawn, but more than the light in her eyes was the sharp and sudden pain that spike through her, centered in her tail and striking out like a spider web. Her body froze up and a gasp left her as the she-cat's fur stood on end, the electricity humming through her and suddenly she was trapped, and she was falling.
For a brief moment, Silverpaw was in panic, the pain so sudden and intense that she had no chance to prepare and calm herself, there was no quick escape and the first thought to run away from the source was quickly diminsihed as she couldn't move, only fall and her eyes were closing as the tabby body jerked against the ground. As if hearing them from across the entire forest was the muffled shouts of her siblings, calling her name and she wanted to yell back, she wanted her mother, she wanted her mentor, her father, by starclan she just needed the medicine cat but it hurt and she was terrified and-
She was out.
