NOTHING HURTS MY WORLD
JUST AFFECTS THE ONES AROUND ME
WHEN SIN'S DEEP IN MY BLOOD,
YOU'LL BE THE ONE TO FALL.

How much longer did he even have? Not long. It was coming and for the first time in his life, Bonsai didn't know what he was doing. He'd used his cunning to help Linden strip everything from the treacherous bastards he'd once called family. Now they were out there, probably starving. Good. The only thing he wanted to see before he died was his sister crawling back with her tail tucked between er legs, but they were both so old now, she was probably rotting somewhere. And the worst part of all of it was this pack was now where he had to remain. He hated it. He was too old and fragile to leave on his own. Even with the warmth of summer now upon them he knew he wouldn't be able to hunt for himself. He was dependent on this pack now. Some of the wolves we leaving the pack. Slowly but surely. Some did it because they thought what Linden and they had done was wrong. Pfft. Others left because they simply didn't like Linden and Isali. Damn them. Let them all rot on their own. To make sure no more followed, he'd begun spending more time with the pups. Whispering in their ears about the greatness of wolves and how dogs had bend to the will of the humans to the north and given up their gods and powers to serve them. Some of the wolves liked him talking to their pups or squires. Some told him he had a silver tongue to rival that of Loki's and he took this praise as humbly as he could, though it fueled the hate he spread to the pups. And so he often found himself sitting in a small patch of flattened grass a few strides from the tunnels, a few pups and squires listening to him talk about the strength and cunning of the wolf, and the terror that humans and dogs brought upon them. | TAGS Cedar NOTES notes |
