Looking In The Mirror
Eye Color: Brown
Pelt: Tan
Body Type: Tall and lean, like most greyhounds
Identifying Features: Mostly tan with a few white marks on her chest, snout and the tip of her tail.
Appearance: Peg is willowy and thin, built like all the greyhounds who came before her. Her tan pelt is often almost brown due to the dirt from living in the streets of the human village, but when she makes her way to the beach or the duck pond and gets clean she is tan with a few white markings.

Under the Microscope
Likes: Human pups, the butcher (he always saves her a good cut of meat), the local pets, the park and the beach, and playing fetch.
Dislikes: Dog races, humans who looked like her old master, mean dogs, the city to the north west, and the winter.
Strengths: Fast, good instincts, nimble, good at swimming, good at hiding
Weaknesses: Not used to nice humans or nice dogs, skittish, untrusting, expects the worst, cynical
Personality: Peg is young, so her personality is always changing, but right now she's inbetween stages. Due to the circumstances of her birth and puphood, she was always very quiet and skittish, untrusting of humans and the dogs around her, but since her escape and finding the village, she's begun to learn that not all people are cruel and not all dogs are out to get her. She's fast from her breeding and the training she had received at the dog track, and very good at swimming, which she loves. She's still very cynical of everything though, not allowing herself to be taken in by one of the human and not letting anyone in. As she grows used to this new life, she's slowly changing and adapting, though.

Background Check:
History: Peg was born to a grey hound in a kennel in the city alongside her brothers and sisters. As soon as their eyes were open, they were weaned and taken to a large group of pups who began learning how to race a little plastic rabbit on the track. The humans who trained them were cruel and abusive and their living conditions were deplorable. They made dirt in their cages, which were very rarely cleaned. They quickly learned not to lay in their waste though, because the humans were spray them down with a strong and painful blast from a hose. They received only enough food for them to survive and none of the other racing dogs could be trusted or confided in. The dogs would sabotage each other because it was known that as soon as you began losing races you were put to sleep. At first, as pups, they didn't understand that meant never waking back up, but the older dogs in the kennel made it obvious. Peg found a chance to escape when one of the human didn't lock her cage properly one night. She waited for the lights to be turned off and then nudged it open. She did it very quietly, but when she finally got it to swing open, the other dogs around her began calling for help. All of the other latches were completely clasped though, and Pegasus was forced to leave them all behind.
Once clear of the kennel, she lived a hard moon on the streets of the city and learned from one of the cats that if she did not like the city that there was a village to the south, if you followed the main high way out. Most of the dogs avoided it because it was open and dangerous, the dog catcher always caught any strays who wandered it, but Peg, as the strays in the city had called her, chanced it, walking just off the highway, only travelling at night and sleeping in covered areas during the day. When she finally caught sight of the village, she was exhausted and starving, borderline dehydrated. Some of the other strays took pity on the nw dog and pointed her towards the butcher's shop, who had a soft spot in his heart for the dogs of the street leaving pails of water out for them and the meat too old to sell. Since then she sleeps in the park at night and visits the butcher and the dumpsters for her meals, but every now and again she manages to catch a fresh rabbit in the meadows and at the edge of the woods to the south, but she avoids the woods because of what the strays have told her about the wolves who live there.
Family: Unfortunately, Peg has very little memory of any of her family since she was weaned very early and placed in with a large group of pups to be trained for racing. Her real siblings were in the group as well, but she was not close to them and does not even remember their names.
